Comet C/2009 P (Garradd) is another beautiful comet that appeared (visually) in mid-2011, and passed by many deep space objects including M15 (Aug. 2), M71 (Aug 26-27), 'the coathanger' cluster (Sept 2-3), and M92 (Feb 2-4, 2012). The comet has been slowly incresing in brightness, and is expected to peak in mid-to-late February (2012).

The image was taken from ASLC's 'Upham' dark sky site on the evening of September 2, 2011. Clouds limited the available imaging time, although transparency was good between clouds..
